Jessie E Humphrey, 85, of Upper Chichester, died Feb. 7 at Riddle Memorial Hospital.
Born and reared in Waynesville, N.C., she was the daughter of the late Carl and Ninnie Jane McElroy Bryson. She resided in Lower Chichester before moving to Upper Chichester in 1958.
Mrs Humphrey was a homemaker. She was previously employed as a cashier at the Riddle Ale House.
She was a member of Linwood Heights United Methodist Church, Linwood Senior Citizens and Claymont Senior Citizens. She enjoyed her home and her family.
She was the widow of Joseph Humphrey who died in 1996. She was pre-deceased by her brother Mack Bryson and her sisters, Edna Davis and Ila Lepley.
Survivors: Son, Joseph A Humphrey of Upper Chichester; daughter, Sandra Crothers of Lenni; brother, Duane Bryson of Waynesville, N.C.; sisters, Lois Pipin, Ruby Green, Billie Davis, Sally Kate Phillips and Pansy Reeves, all of Waynesville, N.C., Suzy Richards of George; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Service: 11 am Wednesday at the Pagano Funeral Home, 3711 Foulk Road, Bethel.
Visitation: 10-11 am Wednesday a the funeral home.
Burial: Philadelphia Memorial Park, Frazer
