Born in Longview in 1945, Nancy received her degree in elementary education from Texas A&M Commerce. She married James D. Ablowich in 1967 and resided in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex for the last 42 years living in Arlington, Denton, Plano and finally Aledo. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, Nancy never missed a game or activity her family members participated. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, traveling, sports, large dogs and celebrating holidays with her friends and family. A proud member of the DAR, she loved God and her country.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Luther Gordon Kent Jr., Delores Rea Birdsong and Searcy Birdsong; and brother, Luther Gordon Kent III.
The family wishes to thank all those who brought joy into Nancy's life, prayed for her, and cared for her, especially Covenant Hospice of Fort Worth, Mindy Campbell, R.N., and caregiver Norma Chavarria.
