Our angel mother Utahna Edna Dennis Farnsworth, 94, passed away peacefully April 25, 2009, in Monroe.
She was born Sept. 12, 1914, the daughter of Joseph Edwin and Annie Helena Jenson Dennis in Marysvale.
She married Ervin Deloy Farnsworth Nov. 15, 1933, in Richfield. The marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS temple Feb. 7, 1947. He preceded her in death Sept. 29, 1985.
Mom was happy and always busy. She never walked when she could run. She had a life of service and a smile for everyone. She worked in Christensen's Department Store in Richfield for 43 years.
After Dad passed away, she served a mission in Hattiesburg, Miss. She was a Manti temple ordinance worker for 20 years and loved every minute of it. She served in every organization of her church. She loved to make pies and hot rolls to share with family and friends.
She is survived by one son, Deloy (Susan) Farnsworth, and two daughters, Nahna (Gaylen) Rappleye and Norene (Bob) Blackburn; 15 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; 13 great-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Jerune Penrod.
She is preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Bill Blackburn; a great-granddaughter, Cori Solomon; eight brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 30, at 11 a.m., in the Richfield LDS 4th ward chapel, 159 North 400 West.
Friends and family may call at the Magleby Mortuary in Richfield this evening from 6 to 8 p.m., and at the ward chapel Thursday from 9:30 to 10:30.
Interment will be in the Richfield City Cemetery.
