Mrs. Margaret M. Weaver, 55, a neighbor, suffered a heart attack during the excitement attending the fire and died in the home of friends a few minutes after she was stricken.
Mrs. Weaver, who resided about 200 yards distant from the Northcott home, was attracted toward the blaze shortly after 9:30 o'clock.
In company with Catherine Keeley, she had reached another neighbor home of Russell Opperman about 75 yards from the Northcott home, when she collapsed from the excitement.
The Opperman family assisted her into their home and called Dr. Samuel A. Rulon, but she died 5 minutes before the physician arrived.
Mrs. Weaver was the widow of George Weaver, Birchrunville painter whose death occurred about six months ago from injuries sustained in a fall at Kimberton.
She was a daughter of the late Morris and Jennie Loomis and was born in Birchrunville where she lived practically all her life. She was a member of St. Matthew's Reformed Church.
Mrs. Weaver is survived by a daughter Susan, Birchrunville, and a son, Harold, of Ludwig's Corner. A brother, LeRoy Loomis, Philadelphia, and a sister, Mrs. Benjamin Bertolet, Spring City, also survive
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at St. Matthew's Reformed Church. Friends may view the remains Saturday night at the Kimes and Nelson Funeral Home, New Street, Spring City.
Deputy Coroner Bishop said today no inquest will be conducted into either death.*
