Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock in St. Matthew's Reformed Church for the late George C. Weaver, formerly of Birchrunville who sustained fatal injuries when run over by a tractor on his farm in Berks County on Wednesday.

Weaver, son of George Weaver, Sr., of Birchrunville, was using the tractor in a field. He stopped to make repairs to the machine but neglected to take it out of gear. It was while he was under the machine that in some manner it started to move and the farmer's stomach, chest and arm was crushed. Broken ribs pierced his heart and the flesh was entirely torn fro one arm, which also was fractured.

Despite his terrible injuries, Weaver, who was alone at the time, management to crawl from beneath the tractor, walked to his automobile parked a short distance away, and drove a half-mile to his home. Then he collapsed. The accident occurred on Wednesday and the unfortunate man was conscious until the end came about noon Thursday in a Reading Hospital, recognizing members of his family telling them just what happened.

Weaver bought the Berks county farm, located near Bernville, about two years ago. He leaves a widow, Maude, and one child, his father and three brothers: Walter, of New Jersey; Earl, of Cromby, and Ernest, whose address is not known.
