The funeral of Mrs. Mary Buck, mother of L. T. Buck, of this (Weems) village, who died Monday night, January 23rd, at her son's home, took place Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m. While Mrs. Buck's death was not unexpected, it came more or less as a great shock to her relatives and friends. Mrs. Buck was a sister of Capt. L. H. Irving, of your village. She was a lady of many attractive and beautiful traits of character, which were strikingly brought out during the trying years of her illness. Mrs. Buck suffered a stroke of paralysis about two years ago, which finally terminated in her death. The funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. Harry L. Walton and the interment was in the Buck lot in the Presbyterian church cemetery. The following gentlemen were pallbearers: A. S Hardy, E. C. Cross, G. O. Howeth, H. E. Owen, W. A. Dameron and H. C. Daniel.
