Sara Marie Maxfield, 12, of Pittsford, died Sunday evening, Nov. 14, 2004, at her home. She was born in Rutland on October 31, 1992, the daughter of Kent and Lisa (Bemis) Maxfield. Sara was a sixth grade student at Lothrop Elementary School in Pittsford. She was a member of Calvary Bible Church in Rutland and a member of the chorus of the school. She enjoyed baking. Surviving is her mother, Lisa (Bemis) Maxfield of Pittsford; her father, Kent Maxfield of Rutland; two brothers, Caine Maxfield and his wife Angela of Bellows Falls, and Dana Maxfield of Pittsford; two sisters, Bridgette Maxfield of Greenfield, Mass., and Kate Maxfield of Pittsford; her paternal grandmother, Marilyn Maxfield of Shelburne, Vt.; her maternal grandparents, Charles and Lorraine Bemis of Addison, Vt.; and several aunts, uncles, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her paternal grandfather, Arthur Maxfield. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1 p.m. in Calvary Baptist Church in Rutland. Private burial will be in Addison, Vt. Friends and relatives may call at the Clifford Funeral Home in Rutland on Wednesday from 2 to 5 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to Child Life, in care of Fletcher Allen Health Care, Burlington, Vt., 05401.
