Joseph Prevo Ralston was born in Melrose township, Clark county, Ill., December 24, 1855. He departed this life at his home in West York, Ill., February 25, 1932, at the age of 76 years, 2 months and 1 day. He was the son of Andrew and Hannah RAlston. One brother Will died June 25, 1925 at Fayetteville Ark.

He was united in marriage to Mary Reynolds May 3, 1884. To this union were born two sons, Archer of Spearman, Texas, and Ausby who died in infancy. His companion died November 24, 1918.

He was married to Adeline Guyer of West York September 30, 1919. He had lived in the vicinity of his birth all his life and in West York since 1901.

He leaves to mourn their loss the wife, the son Archer and wife Grace, with granddaughter Mary Frances; two half-sisters, Mrs. Rachel Weller of West York; Mrs. Amanda Clements of Annapolis, and one aged uncle Prevo Ralston, now at Robinson.
