Memorial service: 2 p.m. Sunday, May 3, at Burning Bush Christian Church formerly Riverside Christian Church, 1000 Bonnie Brae, Haltom City.
First and foremost, Jo was a loving and devoted mother to her son, Mike, raising him to be polite and caring to the upmost. She worked in the nursing field for many years, first for Dr. Higgins and then Dr. Hallmark. For many years she was a member of Silver Spur Saddle Club and various time was a secretary and treasury. Always a lady, Jo was thoughtful, caring gracious, loving and such a good listener.
Jo was born in Fort Worth to Sid and Cordie Mae Walter on Nov. 11, 1919.
Jo was preceded in death by her brothers, Burt and MH Walter, and sisters, Dorothy Cromwell and Rita Jimenez.
Survivors: Her son, Michael Lee Sanders; sister-in-law, Bonnie Walter; granddaughter, Tara; and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
