SFC (USA Retired) Ralph M. Brock, 53, departed this life on Thursday, March 26, 2009. He was born in Charlottesville, Va. on November 24, 1955, to the late Ethel M. Brock and Munyon M. Brown. He was preceded in death by his brother, James C. Brock.


SFC Brock retired from the U. S. Army where he served for 18 years in the United States and Overseas as a Military Policeman and Drill Sergeant.


He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Faye M. Brock; two daughters Consuella L. McCoy of Charlottesville, and Monika L. Brock of Fayetteville, N.C.; three son-in-laws, Fred McCoy III, Shane Brown, and Mark S. Marrow; five grandchildren, Rafaela I McCoy, Lovietta F. McCoy, Lazavus Brown, Dontevian Marrow, Markayla Marrow; five sisters, Martha Howell of Richmond, Va., Nobel Wood and husband, Clarence of Barboursville Va., Harriet Ann Slaughter and husband Davis, Tennie M. Brock and Jennifer R. Brock; 2 brother-n-laws, Thomas Jackson, and Antonio Jackson all of Charlottesville, Va., a number of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.


A memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, April 2, 2009 in the Chapel of the J. F. Bell Funeral Home with Bishop William Nowell officiating.
