John Compton, 93, of Hite, KY died last Saturday in a Paintsville hospital, Born August 2, 1872 in Lawrence County, he was a son of the late Jim and Rebecca Compton. His widow, Mrs. Aggie Ousley Compton survives. Two previous wives, Ida Hall Compton and Letha Scott Roark Compton preceded him in death. John was a retired miner and farmer. He was a member of the IOOF Lodge in Prestonsburg, KY.
