Mrs. Mary E. Havenhill died of paralysis at 5 p. m. Monday, at her late home in apartments in the A. B. Paine building, corner Sixth and Main streets. Mrs. Havenhill was one of six children born to William and Martha Standiford at Mounsville, W. Va. Most of her early life was passed on a farm near Morris, Ill., where the family moved in 1860. It was while living here that she married Walter S. Havenhill. Two children were born of this union, Roy Carleton Havenhill, at one time manager of the old Fort Scott Mutual Telephone company, of late years superintendent of the Channte municipal electric light plant/ Miss Nellie G. Havenhill, residing at 523 South Main street, and for the past twelve years identified with the A. B. Paine company, first as order clerk, now as secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Havenhill has been on the decline for the past year and perfectly helpless the last three months from paralysis of the right side, and her demise at any time during this period would not have been unexpected. Funeral services will be at the residence Wednesday, at 12:30 p. m., conducted by Rev. Marriott of the First Baptist church, of which she has been a member for the major portion of her life. The remains will be taken to Parsons on the 2 o'clock train for interment in the family lot in Oakwood cemetery.
