Willard H. Dunlap died May 24, 1939 age 71, he was a farmer and dairyman and died Wednesday at his home one mile NE of the City limits after an illness of a few weeks. Mr. Dunlap lived in the Van Buren area for more than 50 years. He was born August 14, 1867 at Surrounded Hill, Arkansas. (death certificate states 16 October 1868)

For many years he has been a member of the First Baptist Church in Van Buren. He was a member of the building committee and a Senior Deacon of the church. The Dunlap Farm and home has been a landmark of this area for many years and is widely known because of the ever-flowing artesian well.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Dunlap, two nieces, Mrs. Mary Joyce and Mrs. Edity Paine of Fort Smith, four nephews, Edward Jr.; (too dark to read) Howard; Kiner Howard and Oscar Howard of Fort Smith.

Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery, Pallbearers are; J. C. Dossey, Tulsa, Roy Galloway, Dr. Aura Clark, Percy Boatright, Jim McKee and Alf Boling of Van Buren.
