Joyce L. O'Donnell, 44, of 32420 Carpenter Road, died Saturday at Samaritan Medical Center, Watertown, where she had been a patient since Wednesday. She had suffered a stroke.
Miss O'Donnell was a seasonal cook at Country Cottage Restaurant, town of Alexandria. She lived in the Gouverneur area until moving to her Carpenter Road address in 1983.
Born Dec. 16, 1955, in Potsdam, she was a daughter of Llewellyn and Nathalie Nightingale O'Donnell.
Surviving besides her father are her companion, a daughter, Redwood; a son, Ogdensburg; five sisters, four brothers, five grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Her mother died before her. A daughter, Jennifer L., died April 7, 1995, and a brother, Llewellyn C. Jr., died in 1975.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Frederick Bros. Funeral Home, Theresa, with the Rev. Helen Beck of Redwood United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Pleasant Lake Cemetery, Brasie Corners.
A calling hour will begin at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Donations may be made to the O'Donnell Children Trust Fund, in the care of Redwood National Bank.
