Erik Peter Andersson was born at Qvilla nr3, Torsås parish, Kalmar län, Sweden to Anders Nilsson and Maria Nilsdotter.

Diane (Linder) Olson's family history tells us Erick arrived in the US in 1882. He worked at Duluth on the railroad being built to the Twin Cities. His wife and children immigrated in 1883. They purchased a farm by Chain Lake.

In the 1910 census at Branch Twp., Erik and "Ingri" are listed with their children John A. and Amanda Johnson. Amanda's sons Aaron and Gilbert are included, as is another grandson, Sigurd Nelson (age 4). At this time I don't know whose child Sigurd was. The 1900 census shows Erick and Ingestina living in North Branch Twp., Chisago Co., Minnesota with their children John, Hilda, and Hilma.

The MNHS death records show three Erick Andersons who died in Chisago Co. within a few years of each other (no birth dates are given, so it's not clear which record is for Erik Peter): April 15, 1915, July 29, 1917, and December 4, 1913. Trinity Cemetery records showed his death (or burial) on January 1, 1913. Somebody told me he died in April 1913. One of these dates might be correct.
