Harold E. Mason Jr., 61, of Leechburg, passed away Friday, April 10, 2009, in his home. Harold was born Nov. 17, 1947. He was the son of the late Harold E. Mason Sr. and Shirley Blaylok and stepson of Basil Blaylok. He was preceded in death by two granddaughters, Savana Ferguson and Angel Ferguson. Harold retired from Allegheny Ludlum after 30 years. He was a Navy veteran, serving for 10 years. He was a part-time security guard at U.S. Security Associates Inc. His hobbies were camping and traveling across country. He also enjoyed watching horse racing and poker on television and crossword puzzles. Harold is survived by his loving wife, Sandra L. Mason; nine children, Cassandra Mason, of Leechburg, Theresa Cloak, of Leechburg, Tracy Fetterman, of Apollo, Tim Skeel, of Leechburg, James Parker Skeel, of Leechburg, Ken Ferguson, of Saxonburg, Michelle Glamp, of Cheswick, Ashley Mason and Michael Mason; and 17 grandchildren. He is also survived by his sister, Pamela Bliek, of Clifton, Colo.; and brother, Terry Mason, of Indiana, Pa. Friends received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday and 10 until the time of service at 11 a.m. Monday in the JANETTE L. GAMBLE FUNERAL HOME, Vandergrift. A burial and military honor will be held at the Greenwood Memorial Cemetery, Lower Burrell, with Pastor Tom Spiker officiating.
