Eva Wintermute
Eva E. Wintermute, 85, of Fort Atkinson, died on Monday April 8, 1996, at Countryside Home in Jefferson, following a brief illness. Born in Palmyra on June 14, 1910, to William and Lena (Grant) Harris, she married Hallie B. Wintermute of Hebron on April 16, 1932, in Rockford, Ill. He died on Nov. 30, 1989. A lifelong area resident, she attended Hebron United Methothdist Church and was a member of Bark River Woods Historical Society. Surviving are four sons, Dean (Barbara), Stanley (Barbara), James (Linda), and John (Becky), all of Fort Atkinson; one daughter, Betty (Ronald) Hdyniak of Rockford; 10 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one sister, Myrtle of Whitewater. She was also preceded by one brother, Edgar. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 11, at the Hebron United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Douglas L. Walker officating. Burial will take place in Hebron Cemetery. Friends may call at the church from noon until the time of services. The Dunlap Memorial Home is assisting the family.
