FORT ATKINSON---Mrs. John Klitzkie, 79, Rte. 1, Jefferson, died in Fort Atkinson Hospital at 7 p.m. Sunday. She entered the hospital Tuesday after suffering a broken hip in a fall. The former Effie Eales was born Feb. 22, 1883, in the town of Hebron, the daughter of Joseph A. and Maria Hollinger Eales. She married John Klitzkie on Sept. 21, 1904, in Hebron. They had farmed in that area all of their married life, and celebrated their golden wedding anniversary eight years ago. She was a member of Royal Neighbor Camp 7854 of Rome. Surviving are her husband, two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Conroy, Fort Atkinson, Mrs. Ervin Ganser, Jefferson; one sister, Charlotte Klitzkie, Helenville; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Vernon Pollock, three brothers and a sister. Services wil be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Hebron Methodist Church, Rev. George Grimmett officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Friends may call at the Royal F. Hayes Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Tuesday.
