Zelda Ione Coker went to be with her Lord on October 8, 2009. She was born Zelda Ione Harbin in Washington, D.C., on March 9, 1921. She was a member of Spencer United Methodist Church for 53 years, Treasurer for 27 years, and a member of the choir for 49 years. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Teddy Ray Coker; her granddaughter, Susan Denise Wilcox; a brother, Danny Harbin, of Oklahoma City; and a sister, Ruth Adams of Adelphi, Maryland. She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Grimm, and her husband, Dale, of Spencer; her grandson, Frank Wilcox, of the home; sisters: Juanita Harris, of King George, Virginia; Jean Morris, of Huntington, Maryland; Faye Reynolds, of Owings, Maryland; and Bonnie McCarson, of Hughesville, Maryland. She is also survived by her brothers, John Harbin, of Port Republic, Maryland; and William Harbin, of Hedgesville, West Virginia. She had many friends, including her "bestest buddies:" Martha Poole, Shirley Anderson, and Hazle Sherman, of Spencer. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, October 13, 2009, at Bill Eisenhour NE Chapel, with interment to follow at Arlington Memory Gardens.
