Kathryn L. Laurel, 93, of Canterbury Villa, Alliance Ohio, formerly of Pinehurst Drive, died the afternoon of May 1, 2009, in her home. Born Jan. 19, 1916, in New Castle, she was a daughter of the late Francis J. and Louise Brown Frey.
She was married to Albert P. Laurel. He died Dec. 5, 2003.
She was a homemaker. She was a member of St. Camillus Church, where she belonged to its Cameos. She also was a member of the Prime Timers, AARP and Challenges.
Survivors include two daughters, Linda Donley of North Canton, Ohio, and Bonnie Schweikert and her husband, Joseph, of Avella, Pa.; three grandchildren, Laurel Donley and Lynn Shaw, both of Louisville, Ohio, and Suzanne Schweikert of Carnegie, Pa.; and five great-grandchildren, Madison Shaw, Zachary Shaw and Katelyn Shaw, all of Louisville, and Joey Schweikert and Jared Schweikert, both of Carnegie. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a sister, Adelaide Critchlow, and a brother, Leo Frey.
Visitation is 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. tomorrow at the R. Cunningham Funeral Home and Crematory, 2429 Wilmington Road.A procession will leave the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. tomorrow for St. Camillus Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. The Rev.
