He attended LDS Business College in Salt Lake City where he met his wife to be, Frankie Salmon. He served an LDS mission to the Western States and upon returning married his sweetheart on October 31, 1952 in the Manti LDS Temple. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a licensed Real Estate Broker and Contractor.
He was active in the church serving in many positions; Elder Quorum President, Bishopric, High Counsel, High Priest Group Leader and served three full time missions with his wife. He was devoted to his wife of 57 years and loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Frankie; one son: Michael K. (Valai)Christiansen; two daughters: Rona (Danny) Flannery and Natalie (Brent) Bauer; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; two sisters: Devona Moore, and Darlie (Leon) Hunsaker; two sister in laws: MonaLee Christiansen of Provo, and Margo Christiansen of Boise.
He was preceded in death by three brothers; Keith, Arno and Ardean Christiansen and three sisters; Madge Hansen, Uarda Littlewood and Larine Madsen.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 8, 2009 at the Slick Rock Chapel, 2434 E Riverside Dr., St. George, Utah. Interment will be Saturday, May 8, at Elsinore Cemetery, Elsinore, Utah under the direction of Metcalf Mortuary
