Richard L. Clary March 30, 1925 - Jan. 15, 1933 Richard L. CLARY, 67, Rt. 1, Rochester, died at 5:14 p.m. Friday in Woodlawn Hospital following a short illness. He was born to Harvey and Elva Grace LOWE CLARY Sr. in Fulton County, where he lived his entire life. On June 27, 1947 in Rochester he married Patricia “Pat” HOFFMAN, who survives. He was the owner and manager of Modern Graphics in Peru, and previously had owned The Shopper in Miami County for 24 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church, where he served as a trustee and elder. He was also a member of the Rochester Masonic, I.O.O.F., Manitou Moose and Elks lodges, Phi Delta Kappa of Peru, CPS Community Papers of Indiana, and the IFPA Independent Free Papers Association. Surviving with his wife are a son, James [CLARY], Peru; a grandson, Erick CLARY, Peru; three nieces whom he reared, Mrs. LaVern (Patti) HIBNER, Kissimmee,Fla.; Janet HOFFMAN, Zionsville, and Mrs. Denis (Susan) Van LAKE, Kewanna; a nephew, and a brother, Harvey CLARY Jr., Rochester. Preceding in death was a daughter, Jane Ann [CLARY], on Jan. 6, 1953. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Al HAZEN officiating. Burial will be in the Rochester I.O.O.F. Cemetery. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at Foster & Good Funeral Home, Rochester, and after 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Christian Church, the American Heart Association or the Cancer Fund.
