Joyce Fern Wilson, 68, of Braggs OK passed away, Monday, May 4, 2009 at home surrounded by her loving family. She was born May 16, 1940 in Tupelo, OK, the daughter of Otha Troy and Hershal Irene (Jennings) Weeden. Joyce retired as a postal carrier in California. After moving to Braggs, she worked at Eastgate Village and later she enjoyed helping the American Legion with the Senior Citizen lunches. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed genealogy. She loved her grandchildren and great grandchild and cherished the times she spent with them. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Forrest Augusta Wilson and her sister, Loyce Leete. She is survived by her three sons, Robert Hutchins and wife, Tammy of Fort Gibson OK; Steven Hutchins of Half Moon Bay CA, and Eric Hutchins and wife, Jackie of Braggs OK; grandchildren, Patricia and her husband, John Thomas Ashwood, III, Rachel, Danielle, Nathan, Steven, David, and Morgan; one great grandson, John Thomas Ashwood, IV; nieces and nephews, Margo Bolander, Fred Barnum, Mitchelle Barnum, Klent Leete, Jennifer Chick, and a host of other family and friends.A celebration of the life of Joyce Wilson will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7, 2009 at the Braggs United Methodist Church with Pastor Carla Robison officiating. Interment will follow in South Bethel Cemetery with Robert Hutchins, Fred Barnum, Steven Hutchins, Mitchell Barnum, Eric Hutchins and Klent Leete.The family has entrusted Bradley Family Funeral Service of Fort Gibson with the arrangements.
