Edison is survived by a daughter- Joyce Bowman & John of McKee; by two sons- Rick Witt of McKee and Danny Witt & Debbie of Camden, Ohio; and by a step-son- William Bratcher of McKee. Edison was blessed with twelve grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Edison was also preceded in death by his wife- Virginia Ann (Bratcher) Witt; by a step-son- Eugene Webb; by a granddaughter- Angie Webb and by two brothers- Odis Witt and Hempsel Lakes.
Edison was a member of the Big Hill Baptist Church where he taught Sunday school for several years. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in World War II. He retired from the Bluegrass Army Depot in 1983 and farmed all of his life.
Funeral service was held 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 22, 2008 at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Clarence Brockman and Bro. Clyde Coffey officiating. Burial followed in the Witt Family Cemetery. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements. www.lakesfuneralhomemckee.com
