He lived in Pennsville 23 years. A retired carpenter, he had been at ther DuPont Chambers Works 30 years. He was a member of the DuPont Vetrans Club.
Surviving are his wife, Carrie;three daughters, Mrs Dorothy Baillie, Mrs Mabel Hawn and Mrs Marjorie H. McAllister, all of Pennsville; two brothers, Lewis A Pleis,Williamstown, and John Pleis,Sewill and two sisters, Mrs Florence Champion, Williamstown, and Mrs Hilda Wolfbrandt, Glassboro.
Services are being held at 11 a.m. today at the Laughery Funeral Home, Pennsville. The Rev. Jay K. Helms, who has just left Pennsville for a change in Trenton, will officiate. Burial will be in Lawnside Cemetery, Woodstown.
