Theodore R. McAllister Jr. A Memorial Service for Theodore R. McAllister, Jr. and Marjorie H. McAllister will be held Thurs., April 2, 7:00 P.M., at the Deepwater United Methodist Church, 50 Broadway, Deepwater. Rev. Thomas Gilchrist will officiate. Family and friends are invited. Reception to follow service.

Theodore Roosevelt McAllister Jr. p> Theodore Roosevelt McAllister Jr., 78, of Largo Fla., died Sunday, March 18, 2007. Born in Carneys Point, New Jersey, he moved to Largo in 1984 from Woodstown, N.J. and Tucker, Ga. He served in the US Navy from 1946-56, on the USS Dayton and the USS Missouri, receiving the Victory World War II Medal. He retired in 1984 with 33 years of service to E.I. DuPont de Nemours & Co. He was a member of the Salem and Gloucester Counties (NJ) Historical Societies; a member of the Genealogical Society of Salem County; and a member of the Sharptown United Methodist Church in NJ.

He was the Family McAllister Line Coordinator of Clan McAlister of America, and has been published in the Mac-Alasdair Clan Quarterly Journal. He spent seven years researching the McAllister family ancestry, and was able to trace the family back to the 1600s. He was also an avid bird watcher.

He was predeceased by brothers, Craddock, Donald, and Kenny, and sister, Wilma Buckingham. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie; daughters, Patti Jo Isom (Joseph D.) of Conyers Ga.; Kristee Sue Kirkland of Largo, and Jani K. Wood of Largo; a son, William Terry (Kathy Elder) of Pennsville NJ; sisters, Genevieve Gant (Paul) of Pennsville, Judy Hinkle (Ben) of Sea Isle City, and Lois Coldren (Eddie) of Pennsville; brothers, Larry (Deanna) of Pekin, Ill., Richard (Jackie) of Pennsville, Oliver, Timothy (Barbara) of Deepwater, David John (Charlene) of Pennsville, and Danny (Mickie) of Deepwater; eight grandchildren, Lindsay and Jeffrey Isom, Ashley, Brandon, and Caitlin McAllister; Zachary Newsome, and Corey and Jordan Wood.

A Memorial Service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, March 24, at 1 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests contributions to the American Cancer Society.
