Cynthia Ann Reeves (Cyndi), 56 - Born in Tulsa February 1, 1953. Died unexpectedly in Anchorage, Alaska May 4, 2009. Cyndi grew up in Tulsa and graduated from Rogers High School. She attended NEO in Miami on a vocal music scholarship and performed in numerous musicals prior to graduation. She also attended KU and continued singing in various venues over the years. She worked for 30 years at Hillcrest Hospital, first as a Nurse Assistant in the Burn Center, then as Unit Secretary on various floors, and finally as Staff Scheduler for the Hospital after completing courses to become a Certified Personnel Manager, retiring in 2003. She was excited to move to Anchorage in 2006 with her partner of 19 years, Debbi Schaumburg, and two dogs which she loved dearly. Cyndi enjoyed gardening, fishing, giving gifts, spending time with family, and loved life in general. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Reeves, whom she adored. She is survived by Debbi of the home, her mother Ferne Reeves and brother Gene Reeves and wife Marcia of Tulsa, brother Steve Reeves of Jefferson City, Missouri, nephew Jason Reeves, wife Karilynn and grandnephew Zachary of Kansas City, nephew Danny Reeves of San Francisco, aunt and uncle Irene and Don Tillman of Oologah, and numerous cousins, family members, and dear friends. Steve Schaumburg of Dallas, Jane Schaumburg of Owasso, and Ron Schaumburg of Wichita have lost a beloved "adopted" sister and daughter. Cyndi was a loving person, and strangers in line in stores routinely told her their life stories because they felt her innate kindness. Services are 2:00 PM Saturday, May 9 at Moore's Southlawn. Visitation from 7-9 PM Friday, May 8. In lieu of flowers, donations made to any Humane Society would mean a lot to her. Moore's Southlawn 663-2233 share memories at www.moorefuneral.com
