About “Laura” Smith
(per family member) “Frances Wiatr Smith had one daughter,Laura, who was married to a gentleman named Oliver Cromwell. They had no children and shortly after Laura retired from Abbot Laboratories, they moved to Rogers, Arkansas. Laura passed away just about a year ago, just a couple of months before turning 102. She made friends with a lady named Lois in Arkansas. And after Laura died, Lois was kind enough to mail Laura's paperwork and pictures to me.”

Rogers - Laura F Cromwell, 101, of Rogers died May 23, 2006 at her home. She was born Aug 8, 1904 in Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oliver.

Survivors include caregivers, Lois Carlson of Bentonville, Jason and Amanda Carlson of Rogers; one cousin, Alvin Bak and wife Jerri of Illinois.”


Age 101, resident of Rogers AR since retirement from Abbot Laboratories, died Tuesday at her home; born in Chicago IL; married Oliver W Cromwell in 1927, in IL, producing no children; studied Art and Violin at the University of Chicago; stenographer for the Railroad, and employed at Abbot Labs; played in community orchestras, including the Zion Symphony Orchestra.
