ZACHARIAH BUSH DEAD
One of the Oldest Residents of Pike Township
Zachariah Bush, one of the oldest residents of Pike township, this county [Marion], died at 8:30 o'clock, this morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. R. S. Ennis, 627 Blake street. He was ninety-one years old, having been born in York county, Pennsylvania, June 11, 1811. He removed to Marion county in 1856, after a few years residence in Bartholmew county, where he was married.
He settled on a farm near Traders Point where he lived until about five years ago, since which time he has lived with his children in this city [Indianapolis]. In his early life he worked at the trade of wagon-making.
He was a member of the German Lutheran church.
His wife died in December, 18933. He leaves two sons and three daughters, Adam Bush and Mrs. Thomas Walton, who live near Traders Point, and John Bush, Mrs, William Lake and Mrs. R. S. Ennis, of this city [Indianapolis]. His death was due to old age. The funeral will take place, with services, at 627 Blake street, at 2 p. m. Thursday, and burial at Crown Hill cemetery.
