Mrs Catherine Pearson, wife of Howard H Pearson, died at her home in Dayton July 31, 1893, aged 59 years, 5 months and 3 days. Mrs Pearson was one of nine daughters of the late Henry and Ruth Powell of this place, all except one of whom had preceded her in death. About one year ago the deceased with her husband removed to Datyon. She had been a great sufferer for many years and on Saturday last was stricken with paralysis which resulted in death.
Mrs Pearson leaves a husband and 2 children, Mrs George Boyer of Springfield and James Pearson of Dayton.
During her last hours her one remaining sister Mrs RB Stevenson of this city was with her. The parents of the deceased were pioneer citizens of Champaign County and raised a family widely known and much respected by all.
