They had a daughter named Anna. Gertrude was 87 years, 8 months and 4 days old when she died of old age and the flu. She was buried on the 8th of April 1923.
She and her husband lived in Richmond, Cache County, Utah and are found there in the 1880, 1900 and 1910 census records. In 1920 she was found still living in Richmond with her grandson, Victor Carlson
