Esther H. Doro, 84, a former Kiel resident, died Wednesday morning, February 8, at Calumet Medical Center, Chilton, where she had been a patient since Sunday. She was a resident at Calumet Homestead, New Holstein.
She is the former Esther Riehn born April 29, 1904, in the Town of Rhine, daughter of Herman and Hulda Renn Riehn. She attended school in Rhine Center. She married Walter Doro on April 26, 1924, at St Peter's United Church of Christ, Town of Rhine. The couple farmed in the Town of Rhine until 1952 when they moved to Kiel. Her husband died on September 13, 1968. She belonged to St. Peter's United Church of Christ, Kiel, and the Women's Guild.
Survivors include one son, Wallace (Margaret) of Sheboygan; one daughter, Mrs. LeRoy (Jeanette) Hartman of rural Elkhart Lake; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two brothers, two sisters, one grandson and one great grandson.
