Fred C. Beisner of Hebron was born in Marshalltown, Ia., December 31, 1875. He died of a stroke March 20, 1949, age 73 years, 2 months and 19 days.

Mr. Beisner, with his parents and two brothers, came to Nebraska in 1880 in a prairie Schooner. They settled west of Friedensau and lived near the Little Blue River.

He attended the Nebraska Agricultural College in 1898 and 1899. In 1900 he began farming on the site, which was his home at the time of his death, located 3 1/2 miles west of Hebron.

He was united in marriage to Louise M. Birkholz January 16, 1901. To this union were born two daughters.

Mrs. Beisner preceded him in death June, 1932.

Mr. Beisner was well known throughout the community and was a friend to all. He was always interested in the better methods of farming. He was an active member of the Farmer's Institute meetings held in the early 1900's. These were the forerunners of the various farmer's clubs now in existence.

Surviving him are his two daughters: Mrs. Ray (Dorothy) Sincebaugh, Lincoln and Mrs. Frank (Lois) L. Suplee, Glassboro, NJ, and three grandsons, Norman, Gordon and Daryl Sincebaugh. Also seven brothers: Will C., Hebron; Ernest W., Beatrice; Herman, Lincoln; Lawrence F., Henry E., Albert F. and August H., all of California. And many nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian Church Thursday, 2 p.m. with Rev. Joseph Bruce, officiating. Interment at Rose Hill Cemetery.
