Mr. Beisner came to Hebron with his parents in 1879, when he was five years old. At the age of 19 he left the farm and went to work in a foundry. He rode a bicycle to and from work putting in 10 hours a day for a wage of $1.00. He started his own business in 1901, a business that went from car mechanic to the machine shop for which he was so well known in the community for the past 30 years. His philosophy of life was to do the work good and to precision without regard to time or remuneration.
Mr. Beisner was united in marriage to Pauline Rau on October 8, 1902, and to this union two sons were born.
Lyman, who passed away in 1924 and Harold of Hebron. Mrs. Beisner passed away in 1954.
Mr. Beisner was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Hebron, having served as an elder the past several years. He served on the Hebron board of education and on the city council.
He is survived by his son Harold of Hebron and daughter-in-law, Mary; also two grandsons, James R. in the service in Alaska, and Wm. C. of Denver, Colo. He also leaves four brothers: Lawrence of North Hollywood, Calif.; Albert of Sherman Oaks, Calif.; Henry of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Herman of Lincoln, Nebr. Besides a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held at the Presbyterian Church, Nov. 27 at 2:00 p.m. Minister: Ralph Dyer conducted the services. Vocal music by Ralph Hawkins and Margaret Shearer, with Mrs. J. L. Richards, as organist.
Burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
