Louise Rohde was born March 23, 1848, in Lemmi, Hanover, Germany.

In 1868 she immigrated to the United States and in the same year was united in marriage to Conrad Beisner. To this union eleven children were born, ten sons and one daughter. One son and the daughter died in infancy and another son, John George, departed this life when 25 years of age.

Mrs. Beisner, with her family, at first lived on a farm near State Center, Iowa. In 1879 they moved to Thayer county, settling on a farm in the Little Blue valley near Friedensau. This was their home for about 26 years until they moved to Hebron in 1919.

In 1922 she was preceded in death by her husband who died at the age of 82 years.

Mrs. Beisner had been failing in health for the past six months or more. After several remarkable rallies for one her age she passed away on Monday, Feb. 6, at 8:30 p.m. at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 13 days.

She leaves to mourn her death, eight sons, William, Fred and August of Hebron; Henry of Los Angeles, Calif.; Herman of Davenport, Nebr.; Ernest and Lawrence of Beatrice, and Albert of Dodge City, Kansas; 28 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Mrs. Beisner was a member of Grace Lutheran church of Hebron since its very beginning over 20 years ago. She was also a charter member of the Ladies Aid of Grace Lutheran church and remained active until her fatal illness.

Funeral services were held Thursday afternoon at the Luther Hall Chapel, Rev. M. J. Heinecken officiating.
