Harold "Wally" was the son of Nathan "Earl" and Velma Cunningham Wallace.
He was their only son, and he had three sisters: Juanita, Naida, and Virginia.

Her was born at Mt.Zion, Douglas Co. Missouri. The family came to California in about 1934. He excelled in many sports at Roosevelt High School, Fresno. He made it to professional standing, before having to quit, due to an injury. The rest of his working life, was as a Truck Driver.

He married Ann Unknown, and Floy Hodges.
