She had made her home with her daughter for the past two months. She had beenin failing health for several years.Born May 28, 1892, in Larned Kan., she was the daughter of Joseph and Samantha Chlumsky. On April 3, 1908, she was married to James Allen Benge in LaMar, Colo. He preceded her in death May 17, 1947. She was a member of the Baptist Church in Centerville.Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two sons, two brothers and one sister. Surviving are one son, Hubert Benge of Moravia; three daughters, Juanita Benge of Gibbon,Neb., Verna May Cowles of Phoenix, Ariz., and Thelma Ballanger of Moulton rural route; ten grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren; and two brothers,Clarence Chlumsky of Pasadena, Calif., and Clyde Chlumsky of Kansas.Funeral services were held at the Miller-Wehrle Funeral Homein Centerville Sunday, March 22, at 1:30 p.m., with Rev. Sidney Sloan officiating. Burial was in Mt. Ararat Cemetery.
