JONES, Jay 70, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday May 2, 2009 at his home. Jay was born in Morehead, Kentucky on Sept. 16, 1938 to the late Rosal & Virginia D. (DeLong) Jones. He was the owner/operator of Commerical Tool, Inc. and served his country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Berlin, Germany. Jay was a member of V.F.W. Post #657. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Sue; brother, James; grandson, Duke Millner; sister-in-law, June Jones. Survived by his beloved wife of over 45 years, Sue (Amlin) Jones; 2 daughters, Julie Jones-Goffe & Karen Miller; son, Doug Jones; 4 grandchildren, Lynzi, Eileen, Rebecca & Ariana; sister & brother-in-law, Janice & Larry Arnett; uncle & aunt, Bob & Lorene DeLong; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Larry Nichols, officiating.
