JONES, Jay 70, of Beavercreek, passed away Saturday May 2, 2009 at his home. Jay was born in Morehead, Kentucky on Sept. 16, 1938 to the late Rosal & Virginia D. (DeLong) Jones. He was the owner/operator of Commerical Tool, Inc. and served his country in the U.S. Army while stationed in Berlin, Germany. Jay was a member of V.F.W. Post #657. Preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Sue; brother, James; grandson, Duke Millner; sister-in-law, June Jones. Survived by his beloved wife of over 45 years, Sue (Amlin) Jones; 2 daughters, Julie Jones-Goffe & Karen Miller; son, Doug Jones; 4 grandchildren, Lynzi, Eileen, Rebecca & Ariana; sister & brother-in-law, Janice & Larry Arnett; uncle & aunt, Bob & Lorene DeLong; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & many friends. Funeral service 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 7, 2009, at the GEORGE C. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, "North Dayton Chapel", 5040 Frederick Pike at Needmore Road. Pastor Larry Nichols, officiating. Interment Valley View Cemetery, Xenia. Jays family will receive friends 5:30-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the George C. Martin Funeral Home.
