After spending most of her adult life in the Bronx, Alice retired and lived with her son, Douglas, his wife, RoseAnn and her grandchildren, Eric and Danielle, here in Danbury and New Fairfield for the last 20 years.
In addition, Alice is survived by her sister, Jean Sanacora and brother, Wayne Kallwitz, both of Florida and her brother William (Billy) Harris in California; son, Donald and his wife, Valerie of Yonkers, N.Y.; son, Dennis and his wife, RoseAnn of Milford; daughter, Diane Klein and her husband, Edward of South Lebanon, Ohio; eight other grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Alice loved to chat with people, had a sharp sense of humor and a deep love for her grandchildren. She will always be remembered too for the love she showed her beloved dog, Dee-Dee.
Friends and family will be received Monday, May 4 in The Green Funeral Home, 57 Main Street, Danbury from 5 to 9 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Edward the Confessor
Parish in New Fairfield, Tuesday, May 5th at
10:30 a.m. Internment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Valhalla, NY.
The family wishes to extend a heartfelt thanks to the staff at Danbury Health Care for their care provided to Alice for the past five years and especially to the nursing staff and doctors at Danbury Hospital for their excellent care over the last few months.
