Nannie R. Sumner, 78, widow of Edward Sumner, died at a Clinton hospital following several months of declining health.

She was a native of Laurens County, living here for the past five years, and a daughter of the late Henry and Clara Taylor Campbell. She was a member of the Buffalo Baptist Church in Union County.

Surviving are three brothers, John Campbell, Allen Campbell, and Jefferson Campbell, and a sister, Etolia Richards, all of Clinton.
