PEGGY SUE REEVES MC LOUTH
Peggy Sue Reeves McLouth, age 68, of Port Isabel, TX, passed away November 24, 2008 at her residence.
Peggy came to the Valley in 1980 from Indiana and started work at Fisherman's Inn in Port Isabel. She soon became known as the "Singing Waitress" dressed in her high heels, clicking against the floor. She also met her soon-to-be husband, Phil McLouth. Peggy loved living in the Rio Grande Valley. She made many, many friends and will miss spending time with all of them. She enjoyed life and lived it to the fullest; dancing, singing, laughing, and helping anyone who needed help with no questions asked. Peggy was joined in Port Isabel by her two sons: Scott and Dan; and later, grandson Zac who now resides in Houston, TX. Scott died in an accident in 1985, but Dan remained in the area. She was preceded in death by her son, Scott Reeves in October 1985; parents: Albert Leeper and Tressa Irene Zandstra; two sisters: Mary Leeper and Penny Becze; and two stepfathers: Edward Zandstra and Michael Becze. Peggy Sue is survived by her husband, Phillip McLouth of Port Isabel, TX; son, Dan (Rachel) Reeves of Port Isabel, TX; grandson, Zac (Allison) Reeves of Houston, TX; one great granddaughter, Aubrey; two step granddaughters: Lindsey Ledezma and Shelby Silguero; two brothers: Mike Becze and Jeff (Mary) Becze both of IN; five sisters: Margie (Anthony) Petrilli of CT, Linda Prince of IN, Jennie (Robin) Baker of AZ, Beverly Zandstra of CO and Brenda (Lee) Soto of IN; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. A memorial service will be held Friday, May 15, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Schererville, IN with Pastor Gerry Ulrich officiating.
