HARBACK, HERBERT D., 80, of Clearwater, died Friday (March 29, 1996) at Mease Hospital Countryside, Safety Harbor. He was born in Waterloo, Iowa, and came here in 1979 from Springfield, Va. He was retired from the Army where he had been a research supervisor in government services. He was a lieutenant colonel in the Army and was a veteran of World War II and the Korean War. He was a member of All Saints Catholic Church, Palm Harbor, University of Illinois Alumni Association and Retired Officers Association. Survivors include his wife, Lydia; a son, Col. Herbert F., Carlisle Barracks, Pa.; two daughters, Lydia M. Carpenter, Clinton, Ill. and Neisa H. Cain, Weatherford, Texas; two grandsons, David Harback, Lexington, Va., and Matthew Harback, Carlisle, Pa.; and a granddaughter, Andria Dawson, Weatherford. Moss-Feaster at Sylvan Abbey, Clearwater.
