ATHENS — Services for Ronny Gene Stinson, 62, Athens, are scheduled for 10:30 AM, Thursday at Carroll-Lehr Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Larry Hardgrave officiating.Graveside services will be at 2:00 P.M. in the Edgewood Cemetery in Lancaster. Mr. Stinson died May 11, 2009 in Athens.He was born September 27, 1946 in Waxahachie to the late Fred and Maude Merle Mosley Stinson. Ronny worked for the City of Dallas 15 years and was a commercial plumber with Stinson Plumbing in Lancaster 40 years. He has resided in Athens 10 years. He was a member of Rope, Catch and Ride for Christ Cowboy Church in Mabank, a member of Cedar Creek Lakers R.V. Club and an Honorary Member of Trinity Valley Community College Singles Support Group.Ronny was preceded in death by son, Rodney Stinson, brothers, Frederick Dwayne Stinson, Donald Ray Stinson and Kenneth Lee Stinson.Survivors include his wife, Donna Stinson, Athens, stepchildren, Pam Moore, Austin, Karla Moore, Huntington, Ind., brothers, Robert Thomas Stinson, Kaufman, James Stinson, Lancaster, sisters, Sue Gill; Mary Ann Barber, Mt. Pleasant, Earlene Edwards, Ore City, Gay Carpenter, Mesquite, grandson, Troy Moore, Bloomington, Calif., great granddaughter, Rhiannon Moore, numerous nephews and nieces.Visitation is 6-8 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.If desired, memorials may be made to Rope, Catch and Ride for Christ Cowboy Church, Building Fund, P O Box 1239, Mabank, Texas, 75147.You may sign the guest register or leave a message of condolence for the family at www.carrolllehr.com.
