Obituary from Stevens Point (Wis.) Daily Journal November 2, 1992 -- "Clarence Emerson Nigh -- Clarence Emerson Nigh, 79, Hancock, died Friday, October 30, 1992, at St. Joseph's Hospice in Marshfield.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Hancock Wesleyan Church. The Rev. Randy Richter will officiate, and burial will be in the Plainfield Village Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the Leikness Funeral Home in Hancock, and from 10:a.m. Tuesday until the time of services at the church.
Mr. Nigh was born Nov. 1, 1912, in the town of Pine Grove, a son of the late Clarence and Ella Roberts Nigh.
Mr. Nigh had resided at Hancock since 1945. He was employed at Port Edwards Paper Mill until his retirement in 1974. He attended Hancock Wesleyan Church.
Survivors include one daughter, Judy (James) Smith, Wisconsin Rapids; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Effie (Clifford) Banks, Plainfield, and Vila Mohr, Stevens Point.
He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and one sister."
