Hillery C. Goodlett HARRODSBURG - Hillery C. Goodlett, 89, of 2122 Kirkwood Road died 4 a.m. Thursday at James B. Haggin Memorial Hospital after a long illness. Born July 9, 1899, in Mercer County, he was the son of the late James A. and Lucretia McKinney Goodlett. He was a retired farmer and a member of Kirkwood Baptist Church, where he was a former trustee and a former treasurer of the cemetery foundation. He was the widower of Ruby Bond Nichols Goodlett. Survivors include a son, Bruce Goodlett of Mercer County; three daughters, Roberta Stamper of Owington, Aileen Clark of Louisville and Lucille Morris of Harrodsburg; a brother, Goble Goodlett of Mercer County; 10 grandchildren; and 15 greatgrandchildren. The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Kirkwood Baptist Church by the Rev. James Smith. Burial will be in Kirkwood Cemetery. Pallbearers are Ricky and David Stamper, Mark Clark, Bob and Lloyd Goodlet and Charles Goodlett Jr. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. today at Ransdell Funeral Chapel in Harrodsburg. The family requests that expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Kirkwood Baptist Church building fund.
