Kenneth Edward George Trauth, Sr., 90, of Warrenton, passed away on Sunday, March 15, 2009 at his home.
Kenny was born on May 8, 1918 to Edward and Gertrude (Knarr) Trauth in St. Louis, Missouri. Kenny married Virginia (Hampton) Trauth on October 4, 1941. Kenny worked as a machinist at the Beacon Shoe Factory in Jonesburg and owned and operated a delivery service in St. Louis. He also enjoyed farming and traveling. He was a member of the Jonesburg United Methodist Church in Jonesburg, Masonic Lodge #457, Order of the Eastern Star #353, Jonesburg Lion's Club and was a Cub Scouts Leader. Kenny's greatest love was Virginia and being surrounded by his family and friends.
Surviving are his children: Lana Winter and Linda Austin of Jonesburg, Eileen Richardson of Montgomery City and Dan Trauth of Jonesburg. Also surviving is one sister, Laverne Haymes of Wentzville, 17 grandchildren,Christina Hercles,of bourbon, Howard Winter and Shelley Ridgway of Warrenton, Lance Kobusch of New Florence, Miranda Ford of High Hill. Brian Poole of South Bend, Indiana, Eddie Trauth of Sinton,Texas, Ladena Miller of Dallas, Texas, Debra Cable of Portland, Texas, Dawn Butler of Layfayette, Louisiana, Katy Sheets of Jonesburg, Joshua Trauth of St. Charles, Josie Trauth of Montgomery City and Nick Hampton of Syracuse,New York. 35 great-grandchildren and 11 great great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Preceding Kenny in death is his parents, his wife, Virginia, who preceded him in death on December 12, 2003, one son, Kenny Trauth, Jr. two grandsons, Danny Trauth, Jr. and Ricky Trauth and one granddaughter, Raney Winter.
