1900 US census, his parents were Edward and Cynthia because in 1930 us census his parents birth states matched perfectly when he was with his wife, Clara.

Services for Lawrence Alden who died Sunday morning in Hollywood, Calif were tentative today, pending the return of the body to Noblesville. The funeral will be held at the Evans, Godby and
Trout funeral home and burial will be in Crownland cemetery.
Mr. Alden was employed as a guard at the Hollywood movie studios. Formerly, he had done considerable work as an oil driller, working for the British government in Australia. Persia, South America and Africa. He was employed by the United States government during the war, drilling wells in Purteo Rico.
Surviving is the widow, Clara alden, 637 Cherry St. Noblesville, a daughter, Ruth Fetty or Petty, Noblesville, and three sons, William Alden of Noblesville, Bearl Alden, Arcadia, and Edward Alden of Indianapolis, a a sister, Leah Mauk of Louisville, Kentucky, a cousin Daisy Walker of Noblesville, and seven grandchildren.

Pall bearers were Jarley Forsythe, Floyd Voss, Wm. Zeigler, Jr. John Lewis, Earl Weaver, and Joe Voss. Flower girls were Isa May Wright, Mary Nichols, Nelle McNeal, Mayme Carter, Delta Swank and Floyd Lunsford.
