Fred Henry Kluenker, 82, of Rt. 2, Manitowoc, died Saturday at his
home following a heart attack.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Emmanuel Evangelical
Lutheran Church, Manitowoc, the Rev. Theophil Uetzmann officiating.
Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc.
He was born Feb. 24, 1875, in Germany, the son of the late Fred and
Wilhelmine Zander Kluenker and came to this country in 1887. He settled
in the Town of Manitowoc Rapids. He married the former Ida Schuette in
Clarke County Dec. 17, 1913 and located on the home farm in Manitowoc
County. He retired from active farming several years ago.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Dan Horvath of Randolph,
Wis., and Mrs. Melvin Ruh of Kiel; two sons, Frederick of Milwaukee and
Roy on the home farm; two brothers, Charles and George of Manitowoc;
two sisters, Miss Minnie Kluenker of Rt. 2, Manitowoc and Mrs. Sophia
Hardrath of Manitowoc, and 14 grandchildren.
Friends may call at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc,
until 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when the body will be moved to the church to
lie in state until the hour of services.
