Her two daughters and sons' in law are buried next to her. Her only son John Robert McMills is buried in St.Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Cincinnati, Wyoming, OH. Her husband Robert Paterson McMills is at Oak Hill Cemetery in Cincinnati, OH. She had a fourth child whom I believe died in childhood, name and place unknown (noted in the Census forms 0f 1920). Nellie was a Practical Nurse, caring for patients in her home and in their homes as well when needed. She was a devout Roman Catholic. In her years in Ohio, she help financially and physically build the St. Mary's Catholic Church in Cincinnati, Ohio. She mostly raised her three kids and nephews and nieces on her own, her husband was always traveling with his work, transporting oil across the country. They lived in various States, I know of a few; such as Kentucky, Texas, Ohio and last in New Mexico. After the Second World War and after her husband's passing, "Nellie" moved with her two surviving daughters and their families to Santa Fe New Mexico where she and her daughters died and are buried. (Her only son John Robert had died in Mexico City on March 4, 1940 before she moved to New Mexico, so she had his body sent to Ohio where she lived and he is buried in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery in St. Bernard Ohio. However, because her husband was non-Catholic, typical Scotsman, she had him buried in Oak Hill cemetery in Cincinnati Ohio. While her son John Robert McMills (1904-1940) was buried in Ohio. Ruth Ellen "Nellie" Fitzpatrick McMills was the daughter of John Charles Fitzpatrick of Ireland and Mary McCarthy of Boston. And Nellie's her grandparents were immigrants from Ireland. She was the widow of Robert P. (Paterson) McMills Her brothers are listed here on "findagrave.com" as well as many distant relatives whom I have recently located and some I have added to the site. John C Fitzpatrick 1889. Timothy 1891 and Eugene 1892
Also nephews Eugene Charles and John C Fitzpatrick. Her two sisters' in law (2) are also listed here. Oma M Fitzpatrick. Mabel Irene. Also there are many cousins and nieces and nephews of surname Levenson, Byrd, Wallace, Wilson. She only had two daughters, and one son, from them we are five granddaughters, one grandson. I am one of the granddaughters. [email protected]
