WORLD WAR I VETERAN

Edward T. Albert was born September 1, 1887 in Alexander, Iowa to Jesse Washington Albert and Mary (Nevins) Albert.

MILITARY RECORD: Enlisted as a private on April 30, 1918 in Algona, Iowa. Served in Company "I", 358th Infantry. Discahrged April 12, 1919 as a Private at Camp Dodge, Iowa when they were demobilized. He was receiving a pension under Certificate C-1,837,297.

At the age of 50 years, he applied for admission to the Washington Veterans' Home. He was a resident of Grays Harbor county and had lived in the state continuously since 1931 except when at the V.A.F., Portland, Oregon July 2, 1935 to June 19, 1936 and V.A.F., Boise, Idaho from November 23, 1937 to February 1938. Mr. Albert indicated he was single and had one adopted daughter, Betty Rae Albert of Montesano, then age 8.

Mr. Albert passed away on December 6, 1941 at the Washington Veterans' Home and is buried in the cemetery there.
